Individual Therapy

Whether you are struggling through a difficult time in your life or have been dealing symptoms for years, individual therapy can help. The benefits of individual therapy can include:

Couple's Therapy

Having a meaningful long-term relationship entails intentionality, commitment, and hard work. It is normal for couples to experience periods of increased conflict, relationship dissatisfaction, and communication concerns. Participating in couple's therapy may:

Family Therapy

Families face many challenges and these challenges take different forms depending on the circumstances and life stages families are facing. Families may feel stuck in their patterns of conflict at any time in life.  Family therapy can:

Increase openness and connection

✅ Increase feelings security and acceptance 

"Unstick" patterns of conflict

✅ Reduce feelings of distance within the family

Families experiencing ongoing conflict, parenting concerns, relationship distance, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress, life-cycle transitions, or separation, family therapy can provide an avenue for healing and growth.

Marathon Relationship Sessions

It can sometimes be difficult to feel like you are making the progress you want in your relationships with only one session a week. We offer marathon therapy sessions to help with this experience. Marathon sessions may be right for you if:

✅ You are part of a couple or family in crisis. 

✅ You have experienced significant trauma as a couple or family. 

Your relationships have deeply entrenched patterns of conflict, resentment, or hurt.

✅ You are recovering from an affair or other deep betrayal.

Marathon sessions are conducted by two therapists over the course of two, four hour sessions. Please contact Dr. Mielke at anthony@waxwingpsych.com for more details and to schedule a marathon session.
